Sharing RDM knowledge and good practice
Have you ever felt lost when looking for material on Research Data Management? This toolkit https://rdmtoolkit.jisc.ac.uk/ aims to support you by signposting resources from a wide range of websites and organisations, sorted by topic and audience.
This excellent tool(from JISC (Joint Information Systems Committee) a UK not for profit, which champions the importance of digital technologies for UK education and research) allows you to access it, according to your role (Researcher, Research Support or IT Specialist) or by using the "Research Data Lifecycle Chart" https://rdmtoolkit.jisc.ac.uk/research-data-lifecycle/
It includes sections on Data Management Planning, Policy Compliance, Costing, and Data Storage. It also provides useful links to online RDM training, resources and updates.
IRel "Read and Publish" agreements, allow Open Access Publishing for many Researchers without Article Processing Charges
IRel https://irel.ie/category/news/ has recently signed a number of "Read and Publish" agreements with major publishers.
This means that researchers will now have access to the electronic collections of these publishers and they will be able to publish their own papers Open Access in many of their publications without having to pay Article Processing Charges (APC's).
